№ 01 — A field note
A short statement of what we believe, and why we work the way we do.
Paperbird is a three-person studio working at the seam between AI systems and editorial craft. We design products that prefer a sentence to a spinner, a margin to a modal, and a reader to a user.
Most AI tools today feel like dashboards pretending to think. The products we love — a good paperback, a well-kept notebook, a letter from a friend — do the opposite. They disappear into the reading. That is the standard we hold our work to.
We are small on purpose. Three founders, one room of conversation, two products in the open. Every decision crosses the table — and the table is not large.
Margin notes
Studio size, kept small — three founders, one open conversation.
We publish two products, Hush and Dossier, and pick commissions carefully.
Every surface is built from scratch. No templates. No design-by-shopping.

Hush is an agentic workspace that listens across a team's tools and surfaces only what matters — designed to be read like a letter, not a feed.

Three founders
We have known each other longer than we have run a studio. Paperbird is a tiny company by design — the room has to fit everyone at the table at once, or the conversation starts to lose its edge.
